FAQs
Can I bring my kids?
We love your babies! However, we kindly request that our wedding festivities be an adult-only affair. Hopefully this advanced notice allows ample time to arrange childcare, and we look forward to celebrating this joyous occasion with you.
We understand that traveling without your family may not be an option. If you need a babysitter at Villa Lena, please contact us for details.
Can I bring a plus one?
We are very excited that you are able to join us!! However, we want to maintain our headcount as reserved, therefore whichever name is on the invitation are the only ones included.
What should I wear?
All wedding events will be held outdoors. The wedding ceremony calls for black-tie formal attire, but we also want you to feel ✨fabulous✨ and comfortable.
Ladies, please leave your stilletos at home! Most of the grounds will be gravel and grassy terrain.
September in Tuscany is generally warm, however consider that the villa sits atop the Northern Tuscan hills so best be prepared for some high winds.
For more details on what to wear on each event, please refer to the Schedule.
What is included in our stay at Villa Lena?
Our guests have full use of the San Michele and Fattoria facilities during the event. All rooms are double occupancy with full bathroom amenities. All additional requests like crib, cot, room service, etc. will be charged on the credit card you provided at check-in.
Breakfast is included and served at San Michele restaurant every morning between 8am-10am, but meals outside of the wedding events will be charged to your room.
Side note: there are no house phones in the room, so if you need assistance, you will be required to go to the front desk.
What can we anticipate during our stay at Villa Lena?
Villa Lena sits on a 500-hectare hillside compound in the Northern Tuscan hills of Italy. The artist residence offers plenty of activities and amenities and we are excited that they are offering activities for our guests during our stay.
Morning Yoga - Join us for yoga on the deck on Wednesday, September 18th from 9am to 10am. This will be a beginner yoga class and no prior experience is required in order to join. Please bring your own workout clothes. Mats will be available onsite.
Countryside Hike - Join us for a quick jaunt around the property and discover Toiano Vecchio, where a medieval castle once sat. The hike will be a 1-mile loop starting at the front of the villa and will be on dirt terrain. The trail is not paved and involves wooden stairs, so please bring appropriate shoes to ensure safety.
Pasta Making - The kitchen at Villa Lena are happy to offer a pasta making class for up to fifteen guests. The class will teach you how to make pasta from scratch. Lunch will be provided at the end of the demonstration.
Please check back for the sign up sheet closer to the date.
If lounging by the pool is more your cup of tea, the San Michele heated pool (with a full bar!) is also available for use during our stay, so bring your bathing suits! Note, the pool closes by 8:00PM daily.
