Spring ‘23
Beverly and Maria were happy to spend an afternoon with their closest family and friends to celebrate their engagement at Formento’s restaurant in the West Loop neighborhood in Chicago.
The afternoon started with some of the couple’s favorite dishes from the restaurant, like Nonna’s meatballs and cacio e pepe.
Of course, a party is not complete unless there’s an open bar! The bartender was serving up plenty of cocktail and wine options, but most importantly were two drinks inspired by the couple.
The Bevy was a blend of Daiquiri rum with lime and grapefruit along with sweet cherry liqueur.
The Maria, as expected, was a Tequila-based cocktail mixed with Cointreau, and a sprinkle of pomegranate juice and lime.
During the cocktail hour, guests were asked to vote for which bride will have the most tears on the wedding day by choosing the cocktail which is named after them.
The most popular drink of the day was The Maria, however, friends and family have made it clear that their votes, were actually for Beverly.
After the meal, Beverly and Maria hosted a pair of games that provided the guests with a chance to compete and prove who knows the couple best. Winners were given chocolaty treats from Eataly.
